McAfee is one of the two American companies I know of. Norton is the other. About the software, great protection at a great price. Slow start up that I can deal with to know I'm protected.

It does not work well. It repeatedly comes out with an error message and asks to be re-installed. The re-instalation does not help.

Rating: 3 out of 5 - Only updates Monday to Friday!
It's the first antivirus product (I've used Kaskpersky, Panda, Avira, AVG and Norton) that updates only from monday to friday! Is it reasonable? Do McAfee think that worms and virus appear only on business days? Other con is that The firewall doesn't block all ports according to two different online tests.

Pros are that the product doesn't slow Windows Vista, is light on resources and has good virus/worms detection rate according to indepedent studies.

i have not used this product and that on big deal because i have spy ware dr with anti virus and a better program mr disipio

For me this is the easiest system to load and use and covers all that I personally need for my computer. Have used this product for the past 3 years.
